It’s Okay Not To Be Okay

A local charity founded by three grieving sisters after the tragic loss of their brother Ben to suicide, It’s Okay, Not to Be Okay focuses on sparking crucial conversations about mental health, suicide prevention, and grief within the community.

They achieve this by organising events, facilitating their infamous mental health work shops in schools, running impactful social media campaigns, and selling merchandise, with all profits donated to local charities and organisations.

Past beneficiaries include Support After Suicide, Lifeline, and even Blokes Psychology, where they’ve sponsored sessions for clients in need. If you’re looking for a heartfelt grassroots mental health charity to support or fundraise for, this is an incredible cause to consider!

Spoke to a Bloke

Spoke to a Bloke is a charity focussed on supporting blokes mental health.
They do this through running a series of community based events, including;

- Walk for a Bloke
- Challenge for a Bloke
- Headband for a Bloke

Funds raised via these events are being used to fund two core Spoke to a Bloke Projects.

M.I.N.D.S Project - Men In Need Of Digital Support

The M.I.N.D.S project is an initiative to bring together a wide range of mental health experts, knowledgeable individuals and everyday blokes to create 24/7 help content aimed at supporting adult and younger men.

Some of the Blokes Psychology team have been lucky enough to feature in these videos, discussing a range of topics.

121 Project

The 121 project delivers direct professional help for blokes that need financial assistance. They've partnered with selected psychologists who specialise in men’s mental health, and use part of the funds we raise to reduce the cost of these services to blokes that need it most. Fortunately, Blokes Psychology are lucky enough to be one of these partners!

Our Director Carl also volunteers as a mental health consultant for Spoke to A Bloke, providing expert advice and guidance across a range of projects.
